Contact: December 7th, 2006 Abacast Inc. Releases Ad Injection System 2.0 (Camas, Washington) – Abacast, has created the next generation in its revolutionary ad injection technology for inserting ads into live streaming media to replace ads that cannot be played online. What makes Abacast’s technology so revolutionary is that it allows broadcasters excellent flexibility because the alternative content no longer needs to be of the same duration. The terrestrial content allows broadcasters to sell streaming advertisements while maintaining a seamless stream of high quality media. Plus Abacast’s Ad Injection System 2.0 (AIS 2.0) works with AdSynctm, synchronizing banner or tile advertisements with the injected ads or content. AIS 2.0 can inject content into the stream to replace content in the source, while allowing the injected content to be of a different duration than the replaced terrestrial content. It accomplishes this by using a trigger mechanism that signals the start and stop of the source content through the use of Sub-audible Tones, Contact Closure, RS232 or TCPIP. This means the injected audio content can be of any length, multiple formats and varying bitrates. Opening new opportunities for advertisements, music, public service announcements, station Ids, cross promotion, etc. All of the injected content can be sourced from either local files or remote files allowing for the ultimate flexibility as well as some very creative online ad campaigns. Abacast’s AIS 2.0 has an interface for looking at all the content that has been injected. The user can specify the dates and sorting preferences to control the data in each report. The user can also create Affidavit reports for validation of alternate content played by the system, accounting requirements and use in billing. Abacast is a streaming media company that offers its own unique method to stream content. Instead of sending one media stream to each listener, Abacast employs underused bandwidth on listeners' own computers. This allows broadcasters to increase audiences, without having to add bandwidth for every new listener or viewer. Broadcasters can increase their audience without having to add bandwidth. “That is why Abacast is able to offer streaming services saving our clients 50 to 55 percent on streaming costs,” says Michael King, President. "We use our technology as the cornerstone of our full service offering."
